Where does the time go?

I purchased this watch because of it's unique design. Very smart looking. However, in the three years, I have had the motor replaced due to failure and it continues to lose about 3 minutes per day. I expected more from a Bulova of this caliber. I had the option of battery-powered, but felt the mainspring better reflected the design intent. I suspect the band was vinyl but I replaced it.

Beautiful timepiece.

This is my third Bulova watch in the last two years. None of them have provided me with any issues and all are outstanding in quality. It is almost painful to read some of the reviews here that mention "battery" while discussing an automatic watch. Also, that it stops keeping time when you aren't wearing it. That's why you get an auto winding watch case to display these beautiful works of art, if it bothers you so much. Please do your research before posting about these products. You do yourself, and the manufacturer, a disservice.

Beautiful design.

I've had this watch for probably two years now, and I'm still 100% happy with it. My watch addiction grew quickly and steadily, and I have moved on to much more expensive brands, but this Bulova is still a favorite, and the only watch I wear that ever gets compliments. I'm astonished at the large number of reviewers here who don't know what an automatic watch is. If you are new to watches, please ignore the complaints here that the "battery" runs out or that it stops when they don't wear it. Automatic watches are a much higher level of design, specifically because they do not require a battery. A Rolex will do exactly the same thing.
