What a thrill to own a piece of history. I still remember watching the moon landing and feeling so proud. This brings back those memories. I also love the accuracy of the watch. I show it off every chance I get
The Moon watch takes a piece of American history and updates and upgrades it for today. The original met all of NASA's specifications to survive a lunar landing and return to Earth and this one, I am confident, would do the same - and in fine style. The case has a modern size that is generally appealing but the multiple surface finishes push it into a higher plane of appeal. Add the thick crystal and the textural appeal is further enhanced. It also adds to the vintage aesthetic without making the watch look strictly like a museum piece. This watch looks best when it adorns someone's wrist. There is another well known moon watch that is also attractive but in my estimation the dial of this particular watch sets it apart. The deep black matte dial provides a perfect backdrop for the snail trail sub dials which take on a sunburst appearance to the naked eye. This is representative of the attention to detail that went into the design, execution, and manufacture of this watch. All in all this is one of the modern favorites of my collection and takes its place alongside the vintage Bulovas in my watch box.
I have the very distinctive and collectible Bulova "Moon Watch", and it is tremendously accurate in its' precise time keeping, first class in workmanship, and historically based on one of Bulova's most famous models with actual Apollo NASA travel heritage. I collect watches and this Bulova Moon Watch is my finest time piece. Hey Omega, the Bulova Moon Chronograph Watch is the best "moon watch" to own.
