Very cool watch! High quality and extremely accurate. I love the historical significance about being worn on the moon.

Knowing I would probably never own an Omega Speedmaster, I searched for a chronograph, that at least, looked similar. I have a beautiful Titanium Tissot and a few other chronographs but I always kept coming back to the Omega model, for it's looks and style.
My brother had purchased an Omega in the early 60's (while in Europe) and I lusted after that watch, since I was a little kid. Many years later, I offered to purchase his Omega, only to learn he'd sold it........for $50!
Eventually, I went on a search for a used Omega, that's when I stumbled across the Bulova Lunar Pilot. I just about flipped, then kicked myself for not having prior knowledge of this beautiful watch. I knew the second I saw it, I had to have it. All the more gratifying, it has an authentic background, sanctioned by NASA (for competition) and the best part, was actually worn on the moon, thanks to Apollo 15.
Even without the lunar background, this was the watch I've been searching for. It has the looks, style, accuracy and functions that in some ways, surpass the Omega. I never tire, gazing at this watch, it's beautifully crafted. There's so much depth to this timepiece, thanks to precision markings, layered into the complications and dial face. I kept hearing about it being a honking big size, which concerned me a little, as I don't have big wrists. I'm happy to say, it neither looks, or feel big to me. So my advice would be, try one on, if that's a real concern for you.
There's been some negative comments over the polished surfaces, differing between the band and case, the way the second hand sweeps, etc. Again, that didn't bother me, not in the least. I don't see any need to harp about Omega comparisons, they're different watches, it's superfluous to argue their merits. I truly believe, if you're an Omega fan, this Bulova will absolutely do it for you (and save a ton of money in the process).
I have to say, this watch and my Tissot, share the top spot, I can't decide which I like best and that says it all. I have a tendency to be overly protective, when it comes to wearing watches but this seems rugged enough, despite the crystal sitting proud of the casing. It's a drop-dead beautiful piece of work and had it not ended up being a gift from the g/f, I'd have purchased this watch, in a heartbeat. I'm not the "review" writing type. You can count on one hand, the number of online reviews I've written, it takes a lot for me to post. I'm so thankful for this watch. I actually felt obligated to Bulova to share my enthusiasm and insights with others, who might have stood where I was.
So, if you're sitting on the fence, it won't disappoint, get one......like right now!

I bought the Bulova Lunar Pilot not too long ago and every time I look at it and wear it, I’m constantly amazed at how such a high quality piece is priced so affordably. I love the history behind this and will continue to look forward to the next historic pieces in Bulova future watches!

The Bulova Moon Watch has become my go to watch, being worn at least 3 days a week. Solid build, strong lume, impeccable timekeeping and an iconic design combine for an excellent all-around watch. I love the heritage of the Moon Watch and appreciate the update to modern size and addition of the sapphire crystal, making this a much more wearable timepiece. Add to all of this the terrific value that Bulova offers and you have an unbeatable package!

The bracelet would be perfect if follows the finish of the case. But I like this watc, I think is a great option for collectors.
