Bulova is a respected brand with a great heritage. The surveyor is a beautiful dress/casual watch that ticks all the quality boxes. The all stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, solid link bracelet and automatic movement make this a well made piece. Fit and finish is excellent. The date magnifier is perfectly aligned and there are no obvious QC issues. The hand winding feels good and the movement keeps good time. The Miyota 8215 movement in this watch is a long proven workhorse reliable design and actual timekeeping seems to be better than the published specifications. I do wish the movement was a 9000 series, however, as I feel the overall quality of the watch is worthy of the upgraded caliber. Nonetheless, the supplied movement does not disappoint. The crown, while perfectly proportioned to the watch, is a little hard to grip for hand winding. This being an automatic watch, one only needs to hand wind enough to get it running then allow the rotor to take over. The dial finishing is superb. The emerald green sunburst finish is quite elegant without being too flashy. A champagne dial option would suit this watch quite well. The tuning fork logo on the dial, crown and clasp just adds to the elegance of this watch. Bulova is really coming out with some nice styles lately and is a brand I'm proud to wear.
Nice watch but I needed a professional jeweler to assist me with the crown and setting the date/time.
I received this watch as a gift, and I just love it. I have been wearing it for about a month now, and it keeps great time. I initially didn't love the dark green dial, but it's grown on me, and I love the fact that it's something not everyone else has; and don't see them coming and going. Strangers compliment it all the time.
