The Automatic is a work of art time piece. Excellent craftsmanship and exceptional beauty. The watch has heft so you can feel that you're wearing it, as well as its transparent design with the glass backing so you can see the internal workings. Bulova is the top of the class!
I have had this watch for about two weeks now. For the money, I am very satisfied. It feels sturdy, has a good fit and finish, ticks smoothly, holds good time, and has a decent enough power reserve. The band feels substantial and has very little play inbetween the links. I personally love the skeletonized look of the movement - seeing the escapement operate is very satisfying for a mechanically inclined individual like myself. I recently took this watch up to 14,500 feet at the top of Mt. Whitney and it had no issues operating at that altitude, or in low temperature/wet environments. I've washed my hands with it on many times and so far no water has gotten inside. The surface has also held up perfectly well even after rubbing up against a few things. Overall, I am very satisfied with this watch. It is a no-nonsense high quality approach to the classic automatic movement.
One of the best purchases I've made all year I would highly recommend to anyone
I recently purchased this watch last weekend and I love everything about it from the open face , aggressive styling of the band and dark look . My only complaint and the reason for the 4 stars is the lack of brightness from the glow marks on the hands and minuets. I would prefer brightness to last all night and be significantly brighter and I'm aware this is common in the watch industry but for $650 I'd expect to be able to tell what time it is wether it's 12am or 12pm . The glow lasts for about 10 minuets after it gets dark then good luck . Other than this 10/10
