Bought this watch because I wanted something mechanical that wasn't going to look like a hubcap on my wrist and which didn't have half a dozen tiny, useless dials on the face. This watch tells you the time and nothing more which, to my mind, is all a watch needs to be. Accuracy is decent. I've set the watch to the NIS website every morning for a week, and noted a gain of about ten seconds a day. The hacking feature makes this easy to compensate for, if second to second accuracy is important to you. The lume is decently bright, but fades quickly; curiously, they omitted to add any to the second hand. Time will tell whether this watch holds up to the rigors of daily wear. Already the watch has several tiny nicks in the bezel, which is surprising to me since it's stainless steel and I've been careful not to bang it around. By comparison another automatic I've owned for years, and haven't been particularly careful with, looks brand new, and it cost about 1/3 of this watch. At this price point, I would have expected more durability.
Great watch. Being an active duty military member I wanted something with heritage. Apparently quality and durability are not key components. A leather strap replacement will be 75 dollars. Very sad and disappointing. I have not worn this watch through any rough rotations. I'm a chaplain and my job does not have a major physical demand. The watch is great, the strap is trash. IF you do get this watch go with the nylon strap and not the leather.
Quality timepiece but very poorly designed. Sweep hand is same color as background, totally invisible to count down seconds, which is impossible. The military time, although red, is poorly contrasted with background, also very hard to read. It'd be a great watch if I could actually see it, pick another design besides this one. I can't believe they did it this badly and are actually selling it.
