Amazing dial treatment shapes or bends the contacting light, creating different hues and shadows in the deep blue finish. The perfectly matched blue glass bezel and rose gold accents sealed the deal for me. This is a piece of art worn on the wrist ! I purchased this Bulova model based on appearance. I bought the Bulova brand based on quality and precision. In 1960 my father, a railroad trainmaster, sang the praises of a new tuning fork powered Bulova Accutron wrist watch that was deemed accurate enough for railroad certification. I was 6 years old in 1960 but I never forgot my Dad's excitement of the new technology and accuracy. Recently retired, I decided to commemorate the occasion with the purchase of my 1st Bulova watch.
