Looks Great, but has issues

The watch looks great and do to the shape of the lugs, wears a little smaller than you would expect. The light blue face looks great with the red chronograph hand and the small red minutes counter for the chronograph. The date is at 6. The case is well made, with some accents that look like screws and there is a Bulova logo on the case at 5 and one on the crown. The band is easily changed, just pinch the pins on each side and it's off. No tools are required unless you have no nails or fat fingers. The anti-reflective coating on the sapphire crystal makes it easy to read, although with the silver hands against the light blue dial makes it a little difficult to see. I think a better color choice for the hands would have increased the readability of the time. The small 24 hour dial at 3 is useless, unless you have the eyes of an 8 year old. A small sweep second hand would have been more useful. Same with the date too small to read. There's a lot of real estate on the dial, the date could have been larger without taking away from the dial symmetry. On to the band. It rattles and it's loud, not like the rattle from a vintage Submariner bracelet with hollow end links, it's a "cheap" rattle. It's fairly east to size the bracelet, there are push pins, just follow the arrows on the bracelet. However, one side of the pins looks like screw with a slot, it's not. I was thinking maybe the slot was there to make it easier to remove the pin, but it's on the other side of the arrow. The slots are very shallow so they're not an expansion thing to keep the pin in place, so I think the slots are just there to make it look like something it's not. To remove the case back, it's 4 screws so battery replacement should be a DIY thing and pretty easy. This is a great watch to wear when you don't want to wear a more expensive watch without giving up the expensive look. Lovely timepiece.
