I ordered the 98D Precisionist because I wanted a large, good-looking, accurate, non-chronograph watch; the 98D is all that, and more. This is a great every-day timepiece, not so much for formal occasions; the Bulova Curve makes a nice dress watch. The 98D is incredibly accurate; I set my 98 to UTC National Standards Coordinated Time (atomic clock), and it's right-on-time!! I own several Cartier automatic watches, and with all the money I've spent, they can't come close to Bulova's accuracy. The Precisionist is built like a battleship, but looks like Park Avenue! I just purchased a second 98D as a wedding gift; that should say it all.
I've had this watch for about 5 months and I'm pretty wreckless with watches due to my own clumsiness, however this watch holds up phenomenally and is perfect for every occassion. Its a great statement piece that gives you that $10,000 look for much much less. This is a watch you can pass down.
