I looked everywhere for a wall clock to accentuate my mid-century modern decor. I finally found this one and I have to same - I am in awe. It's truly breathtaking in my space and ties everything together magnificently. It keeps great time using and the glass gives a beautiful reflection of the natural light the pours in from the adjacent window.
I ordered the Taliesin clock while visiting Taliesin. I used a Duracel battery and it worked for only a few hours. I returned it and received another. I inserted a fresh expensive lithium AA battery. The second one did not work either. It is a large clock and I had to find a stud to put a big screw into to support it. Now I have a big screw in my wall in a prominent place and no clock.
The clock itself has some nice features. All of the wood parts look super sharp, but the clock hands and super cheap and the plain old clock mechanism that takes 1 AA battery like any cheap store bought clock, sticks out of the back more than the clock frame. That makes the clock not sit flush on the wall.
