I’m very pleased with the Bulova/Caravelle Sea Hunter. I like the reliable workhorse automatic movement that was chosen for this 1969 reissue. The 39mm case size seems perfect and I really like the yellow/gold indices which really makes this watch look & feel like a 60-70s vintage diver.

Awesome watch for the money

I was hesitant to purchase this watch at first given Caravelle's (and Bulova's) cheaper price point. I am a serious watch collector so I usually do not buy from mass-produced brands. However, I was impressed by the design of the Caravelle Sea Hunter and gave it a try. I could not be more impressed by this watch! For the money, this watch punches well above it weight. Somebody at Bulova is a watch enthusiast or listened to wathc enthusiasts because everything is right about this watch: size, proportions, dial layout, vintage cues and faithful interpretation of a very important historical dive watch (the "666"). Not only that, but the quality of the watch is surprisingly good, the bracelet does not feel exceptionally cheap, and the watch just looks fantastic on my wrist. I have watches that cost many multiples of this watch, but I have already been wearing this watch near constantly since I purchased it. This is a fantastic piece and if you are looking for a little nostalgia or just like the vintage-inspired design, this watch is perfect for you.

This really is an outstanding watch and a great value. I wore it out today for the first time and got a compliment straight away. I have watches that cost much more that are never noticed. I also love the Bulova\Caravelle dive watch history an hope someday Bulova will remake the Super Compressor.

Re release of a storied watch

So glad to have the Caravelle Sea Hunter released in all its glory. Great history of this brand and it’s got all the right stuff!
