As a US Navy Instrumentman and mechanical calibration technician in the 70's, I was also a Navy watchmaker. This original watch was made by Hamilton, Benrus, Gruen, and a couple others and they were all the same style. But the purpose of a "Hack" was a mechanical lever that stopped the balance wheel and thereby stopped the watch so a group of military people could synchronize their watches for whatever reason. By pulling out the crown (winder) the hack stops the watch while you set it and then at the same time everyone pushes the crown back in which restarts everyone's watch to the same time. Just like in the movies!
Bulova Respuesta
This is a Beautifully creative piece . The memories behind it and being married to a vet he absolutely loved it.
This Bulova Military Replica is second to none. The features of military with civilian time and luminescent design make it useful, and the strap is comfortable. It keeps very good time. Durable automatic that is worth the purchase.
I really love the watch. I was issued one when I was a cadet at West Point.
