So good but leaves you wanting more
The Surveyor is a fantastic homage to the Explorer. This is a gorgeous watch and something I would love to wear on every adventure. The fit and finish is excellent, and this is a watch you won't want to take off. The only down side is, you will have to take it off. This beautiful watch is an improvement on the classical design of the Explorer, without being a simple copy. It updates the design and elevates it to something just a little dressier. But it loses a step on the ruggedness of the original. Sporting only a 'water resistant' tag, this is a watch Bulova advises that can handle a splash here and there, but no more. No swimming. No snorkeling. You shouldn't even wear it in the shower. So many good Explorer homages at this price point can handle 100m. They won't look as good as the Surveyor, but they will boldly go places this beautiful watch simply cannot follow. That being said, this is a wonderful timepiece. One I thoroughly enjoy wearing. It's only fault, is that I ever have to take it off.
