This watch is beautiful, very happy with my purchase (#0227) - the meteorite face is very unique. I can feel the lighter weight from the Grade 5 titanium / steel and it would be a great EDC watch. Quality Japanese movement for this one. Not taking away from the timepiece but the band is not as high quality (Chinese made band) as I would like. Fortunately, it can be easily swapped and has metal tabs to slide it out for a band you prefer. Second Bulova watch purchase for me and I am really liking the limited edition releases. Box wasn't as nice as 96C146 that I purchased but it's just a box at the end of the day.
The Lunar Pilot Meteorite is an exquisite addition to the Lunar Pilot family. It has the same precision engineering yet coupled with the unique meteorite dial. That dial adds a level of sophistication and refinement to a well-engineered timepiece. Additionally, the watch is lighter weight due to the mixture of titanium and steel on the watch case. I am quite happy with the purchase of this limited edition (#127) masterpiece. I am becoming a bigger fan of Bulova.
It's been more than 6 months that I've been wearing this watch. I'm used to sturdier, steel watches, and this one, despite its large case, feels quite comfortable. Just be aware that If your wrist is skinny like mine, you will have to tighten the strap all the way. The highlight of the watch is the dial of course. I'm obsessed with Widmanstätten patterns and meteorites so once I saw this watch I fell in love. It takes some time to get used to the buttons' action but at this point I can say I enjoy it. The only caveat IMO is the strap. I looks nice and fits right in with all the grayscale theme but I would gladly pay the extra cash for a titanium strap.
