My fiance bought me this watch for an engagement present although I had had my eye on it for some time. When it arrived, I was pleased with the presentation box and with the super cool extra strap and strap tool. The watch itself was an accurate representation to the legendary watch that was used on the moon, as far as I could tell. I loved the size of case and the fit and finish was excellent. The dial was clear and legible and got more interesting every time you looked at it, due to the applied indicies and raised centre. The chronograph buttons feel sturdy and give a very pleasing *click* when operated, and I imagine myself using them whilst wearing my space suit.
I was really pleased to see this watch come out. I still have my original Accutron Spaceview that was birthday gift in 1971. It's great to see this lineage continue and expand!
I grappled with whether to buy this watch for quite a while. The photos really do not do justice to the quality of the fit and finish of this watch. The dimensions are perfect and it looks like a much more expensive watch. The multi layered bead blasted case is well executed. You will not be disappointed with this beauty.
I love this watch like many bulova watches! Wonderful History and presentation box too. One improvement that I wish the watch had was a smooth sweeping second hand for time keeping in addition to the large second hand for the chronograph. Excellent quality and value for the price all around! On a side note, one general suggestion is to bring back the higher end accustom name vs accuswiss and return the running fork emblem which is so iconic plus elegant on a watch face. I specifically shop for those older models online often pre the accuswiss name change. I understand the accuston II and movement considerations and the need for distinction but still call it nostalgia I guess and a matter of better looks for me. I've always been an bulova fun though!
