The watch looks fantastic, certainly shinier in person. It has a nice heft, feels like a solid construction. Nice winding and crown action, solid lume. A workhorse movement in the watch, though I wish it was something a bit more precise of an automatic. It'll run for a long time and be very usable, I'm sure. My complaint is around the bracelet included. I almost lost it off of my wrist one of the first times I wore it when I was flexing my wrist... Almost dropped and destroyed it! The butterfly clasp is not really appropriate for something that is a Marine Star, is it? Butterfly clasp and 200M water resistance doesn't seem to add up. This needs a different bracelet, and I'm going to upgrade the watch with one (maybe a rubber strap.)
My wife got me this for Valentine's Day 2024. Great looking watch and my third Marine Star. My previous Marine Star is still running great and looking great. I get compliments all the time. I only have two issue with this model. One, why is the Roman Number for 4 wrong? It's supposed to be IV, not IIII. Is it to be "unique" or does the watch designer really not know Roman Numerals? Second is the deployment clasp. I've had it two days and it's almost hit the floor twice because the clasp comes undone easily during normal wear. I prefer the other clasp that folds once and has a safety clip on it.
