Blueprint Chronograph
Frank Lloyd Wright
Product Description
This timepiece incorporates one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s more famous projects, the Coonley playhouse based outside of Chicago. It is the stain glass windows which have been a popular design that has been revered and copied into many items. The circles and squares go back to his use of geometric shapes that have been integral in his designs. Designed in 1912, The Avery Coonley Playhouse was originally a private schoolhouse on the estate of industrialist Avery Coonley. Yet, just a few years after its completion, the Coonley’s had it converted into a single-family residence, as it remains today.
The timepiece’s stainless steel case includes a blue enamel dial feature a chronograph function with white printed blueprint design. The brown calf-skin strap is finished with white stitching.

Great Watch!
I appreciate the craftsmanship and elegant design. Great attention to detail!
Frank would be proud
A beautiful watch that gets much attention. The first day I wore it I was constantly asked about it. Their interest peaked when I told them about the Frank Lloyd Wright connection. Always been a fan of Frank and his work. The leather band is so soft and you hardly feel it. Casual or dress it is a great watch. Hope it lives up to the longevity of my other Bulova watches. Get one for yourself.
Nice features.
A great looking watch around the office. People are always asking about it.
Gift so nice I bought it twice (and 2x more)
I first purchased this as a gift for my spouse when we moved to Oak Park, IL, where Frank Lloyd Wright’s personal home and studio are located. This piece quickly became a favorite: a striking but thoughtfully in-audacious accent that rarely goes unnoticed, the thoughtful integration (of Wright’s work and tied to the classic “blueprint” of architectural design writ large) ties not just to classic styling for which Bulova is known (“timeless” feels both apt if somewhat oxymoronic!), this thoughtfully designed interpretation is true to its source while feeling modern and sharp. My only regret is that it is a gift one can only give so many times - and then I don’t have one for myself to add to my own collection! Even without a connection to architecture or the architect himself, this piece has never failed to make someone pause even just a moment before saying, “wow”; that should be the desired effect upon anyone who sees something to be appreciated.
