With the new men’s Oceanographer GMT, Bulova brings exceptional functionality to one of its iconic designs. The stainless-steel case features a curved silhouette, a box sapphire crystal, a blue-and-red bidirectional rotating 24-hour bezel, and a screw-down crown providing 200m of water resistance. A brilliant blue dial is accented by tasteful pops of red, with applied luminescent hour markers, bold hands including a 24-hour hand and featuring luminescent paint, and a date display. An independently adjusted hour hand allows for easy setting of the local time. The Oceanographer GMT is powered by a self-winding GMT movement with 24-jewels and a power reserve of 42 hours, protected by a screw-down caseback. Definitely a conversation piece. From the way the bracelet drapes like grandfathers collection the bubbled sapphire shape of bezel and gmt feature all together makes it a very unique must have. So I got it.
I had my eyes on this beautiful watch for some time. When the Black Friday sale came, I could not resist the price and purchased the watch. I love the true GMT complication, as I can switch time zones and my GMT time doesn't move! I strongly prefer automatic watches, but many of my even more expensive watches lose time after a few days. NOT THIS watch! It is fantastically accurate. It really is a beautiful watch and it is my new daily driver.
