This new men’s Bulova Oceanographer GMT brings a new look and new functionality to the legendary Bulova design. The rose gold-tone stainless-steel case features a curved silhouette, a box sapphire crystal, a two-tone “root beer” bidirectional rotating 24-hour bezel, and a screw-down crown providing 200m of water resistance. A vivid black dial is accented by tasteful pops of rose gold colour, with applied luminescent hour markers, bold hands including a 24-hour hand and featuring luminescent paint, and a date display. An independently adjusted hour hand allows for easy setting of the local time. The Oceanographer GMT is powered by a self-winding GMT movement with 24-jewels and a power reserve of 42 hours, protected by a screw-down caseback. I’d buy it again
I’ve always respected Bulova but have never purchased one before. Of all the watches in the lineup, the Oceanographer GMT Root Beer, in my opinion, best captures the sexiness of the 70s. The Oceanographer GMT Rose gold will turn heads and get a decent amount of attention. The band,while extremely comfortable, does feel a little cheap and where the clasp engages it’s already wearing the rose gold off. That being said, the rest of the watch is beautifully made and I have no complaints.

A Bold New Entry to the Devil Diver Series
Of all the watches in the Devil Diver lineup, the Oceanographer GMT Root Beer, in my opinion, best captures the vintage spirit of the Archive Series. With it's warm brown and black bezel, the Oceanographer GMT Root Beer feels like a watch that was born from the 70's. And the rose gold metal brings attention to the jewel-like hour markers in a way that conveys vintage elegance. These design features, however, does not in any way take away from what someone would expect from a watch carrying the infamous 666 feet indication on the dial. The bezel pip's fierce appearance honors the Devil Diver spirit. And the black dial carries an intimidating presence that only a select few would feel confident wearing. Whether you are looking for something bold and different to wear on certain occasions or find yourself strongly identifying with this watch, the Oceanographer GMT Root Beer has an overpowering quality that's definitely worth experiencing.
