Chronograph A
Archive Series
A style inspired by history, the Chronograph A is a nod to the popular styles from Bulova’s diver chronographs from the 1970s. This style was popularly known as the “Surfboard” for the distinctive oval “surfboard” encircling the two sub dials. This updated version features a stainless steel case with black and red accents and an off white dial. The dial features the notable oval in black around the sub dials, as well as orange tipped hour and minute hands, luminous hands and markers, and an orange chronograph second hand. Five-hand chronograph quartz movement, domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Black perforated silicone strap with deployant closure. Water resistance to 200 metres.

Retro Style, Modern Function
Glad you brought back the "Surfboard " Great addition to my collection
Elegant Retro Styling
The Chronograph A has a handsome retro-style and represents the early 70s version quite well. The "Surfboard" is well engineered and styled. The dial is easy-to-read and simply gorgeous. The orange-tipped hour and minutes hands along with the orange seconds hand bring a touch of nostalgia to this horological masterpiece. It combines subtlety and boldness simultaneously which is hard for some watch manufacturers to create. Bulova has done an excellent job. The deployant band is comfortable and durable. The diamond pattern gives a subtle hint of elegance without being overbearing. The crown is right-sized and does not interfere with movement of the wrist. I recommend the Bulova Chronograph A.
