Jet Star
Straight from the 1970s comes the Bulova 1973 Jet Star, an iconic model from the brands impressive history, now equipped with an equally impressive movement. Borrowing from its historic forebear, the stainless steel case features a striking angular design with broad facets and a domed sapphire crystal. The magnificently claret sunburst dial is accented by a black chapter ring, applied black and red hour markers, and matching silver tone and red hands. Luminescent plots at each hour and fill in the hands allow for exceptional legibility in every environment, while a date display sits perfectly at 3 o’clock. The new Jet Star is powered by Bulova’s Precisionist movement, a revolutionary 8-jewel quartz mechanism vibrating at a remarkable 262kHz, accurate to 5 seconds per month with increased resistance to temperature changes, and with a sweeping seconds hand. Complementing the stainless steel case is a matching bracelet with a deployant clasp closure and latched spring bars for easy release. Strut your stuff in legendary style with the high-flying Bulova 1973 Jet Star, a legendary design recreated for the modern connoisseur.

Reviews
Much happier than expected.
Bought this watch as an experiment in owning a Bulova and attracted by the very fast/probably accurate 262 khz movement. Very impressed by the accuracy of the movement-compared to our atomic clock it stays right on time. However, also impressed with the watch construction-well made and finished, and as heavy/substantial as most mechanical watches (which I generally prefer as many low-mid level manufacturers make great watches (and their quartz watches are often similar quality; just the movement is different). Good microbrands typically match these. The Jetstar feels comparable to many of these watches. Many quartz watches have pretty "busy" dial designs and this Jetstar looks more sophisticated. Also wears as heavier & more substantial than many quartz watches (this is a compliment, not a complaint). Feels & looks much more luxurious than its price. Very happy with it and will buy other Jet Stars without hesitation if the style appeals to me. Also will strongly consider other Bulova 262 khz models although the dials of some I have looked at are "busier" (though not some Marine Star C Precisionist models which I am considering).
Great Watch!
